01

The question

Military quality-of-life enterprises must meet mission and family needs while managing finite capital, restricted customer bases, and demanding financial-performance standards.

02

MPG's approach

  • Quantify current and future demand, customer segments, utilization, and competitive conditions.
  • Test operating concepts, facility requirements, and direct-operation versus concessionaire alternatives.
  • Develop revenue, expense, cost-recovery, and investment-return models for decision makers.
  • Connect market findings to practical recommendations for facilities, programs, and capital sequencing.

03

Why it matters

Assignments have included a retail master plan for a rapidly growing Marine Corps base in Iwakuni, Japan; a service-wide Marine Corps childcare needs assessment; and an assessment of six concession spaces and a major banquet/meeting area at the 818-room Hale Koa Armed Forces Recreation Center in Waikiki.
